... she's wide-eyed and innocent, but keeps a sharp little switch-blade hidden in her pink faux-leather purse to prick pomposity and pretentiousness. Mostly though she just wants to have a good time. Please note, if you message me and I do not answer it always means I am not at my computer. Even if Stumble shows me as being online (which it sometimes does incorrectly) I may be either wandering aimlessly or hiding in the cupboard to escape my aunt or performing some menial task for the cat ..:)).. ellie .. (P.s. - each page is a different 'theme' so whatever is on the first page isn't what the blog is 'about'. Click through a few pages and you'll see what I mean)

The whole confusing SU 'Friend' thing
I wrote about this a while ago but I honestly think the concept of an SU 'friend' confuses a lot of people, as does their use of the word 'fan'. SU does *not* use these words in the normal way. A 'fan' is actually a subscriber, not someone who's going to ask for your autograph or rip her panties off and throw them at you. It works like this. You see an SU blog and if you particularly like the content you can choose to 'add them as a friend' so you can find your way back there easily again and begin to receive stumbles of sites they 'like'. You become a subscriber ('fan') of that site. You do not need any permission to 'add someone as a friend'.
Occasionally, but by no means always, the person you have 'added as a friend' will have a look at your SU blog and, if they like your content and want to subscribe, may add you back as a 'mutual friend'. Its got nothing to do with being 'friends' as you or I understand the word (although of course you may become real friends with people here but thats a quite separate issue). Its just mutual 'subscription', based on content preferences.
Its not a popularity contest to see how many 'friends' or 'fans' anyone can get either. Its all about content. Is it a good site with good content ? Do you like it and want to visit again ? OK, add it as a 'friend'. Never get upset or offended if someone doesn't 'add you back' though. Its not personal. Don't worry about how many 'friends' you have. Find quality sites and add them as friends because you like the content. Create a great blog yourself and people will want to 'add you as a friend'.
As far as I know theres no limit to how many people can subscribe to your site (fans) but SU has a hard limit of 200 friends which it won't let you exceed (which means that sometimes people can't 'add you back' even if they want to). That limit includes 'mutual' friends, other people you're a fan of, and 'ghosts' (invisible ex-friends who left SU but didn't 'unfriend' you first). To add someone if you hit the 200 limit you would need to 'unfriend' an existing 'friend.

Thats my take on it anyway. Is any of that helpful ?
